Contemporary Christian artist, J. Kirk Richards, is known for his accomplishments as a painter of Judeo-Christian subject matter. While not all of his work is overtly religious, the majority of his themes stem from spiritual ideas and narratives. His paintings exhibit a love for the human figure, use of symbolism, and an emphasis on lyric composition. 

J. Kirk Richards' art takes on a reverent tone, depicting modern, but many scenes of Christ. Of his work he said: In my ongoing efforts to know and to depict Christ, I have moved away from the need to envision every detail. A broad idea and a feeling move me forward.
