"In my free time over the past several years I have been developing hand-drafted, watercolor renderings of traditional temples and tabernacles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in an attempt to improve my craft by better understanding the unique architectural legacy of the church. While traditional watercolor renderings are beautiful in and of themselves, I believe that the true beauty of these paintings stem from the architecture itself; the proportions, the craftsmanship, and the composition of traditional architecture." – Ben Felix

Ben studied architecture at the University of Notre Dame which specializes in classical and traditional architecture. Students in the architecture program at Notre Dame are trained in traditional rendering techniques including hand drafting and watercolor rendering. Ben works in his dream job as an architectural designer at FFKR architects working on temple design.
