Multiple Sizes, 'Five Were Wiseby Kate Lee

If you look at this painting you can see that 3 virgins are holding lamps and 2 are not. This is not because those two were unwise, notice they are still holding their hands up toward Christ. I really wanted this painting to represent both the parable and us. The virgins with lamps are holding up their testimonies of Christ, while the ones holding out their hands are offering who they are up to Christ. I love the movement and emotion in this painting. Together they are taking care of, helping, and leading each other to Christ.

I know this is a painting of women, but it represents each one of us. We all have different experiences, and opportunities that help strengthen and solidify our knowledge and testimonies of the Savior. And we all have experiences and opportunities that help us to reflect and allow us to offer who we are up to Christ.

When we bring all of that together, we are taking care of, helping and leading each other to Christ.

I hope this painting helps you feel the spirit. I hope it brings you closer to Christ.
